I played live session drums for ASPHYX in January and February 2025. For the first show, in Portugal, I had 5 days to learn the 1 hour headlining setlist. Curious how that went? Check out the drum cam compilation video of the show at Mac 3 in Bordeaux, France!

I’m really excited and proud to share that GOD DETHRONED’s new album THE JUDAS PARADOX is OUT NOW through Reigning Phoenix Music. I realized I never invited you into Veile‘s newest chapter THE ABYSS. While working on the new album (scheduled for autumn/winter 2023), The Monolith Deathcult releases a brilliant 15 year anniversary version of “I Spew Thee Out Of My Mouth”. The song’s original recording, drummed by SJOERD VISCH, appeared on TMDC’s 2008 record ‘Trivmvirate’. The drums for the 2023 version were performed and recorded by me at Studio Skillpero. Mixed by Guido Aalbers at Guisound Studio.
As is often the case with me, this drum video was sitting on my hard disk, waiting for me to do something with it. So, I decided to do something with it. Here’s a blast from the recent past:
A new band has arisen from Dutch soil, delivering groundshaking bombastic metal. When HALIPHRON asked me to session drum for their debut album, I didn’t think twice. I recorded and produced the drums myself at STUDIO SKILLPERO / De Leauds des Deaudts (Kampen, NL). The album was mixed and mastered by MENDEL BIJ DE LEIJ at MBDL and released by LISTENABLE RECORDS on March 31, 2023.
I’ve also been drumming at HALIPHRON’s live shows in 2023, with merely highlights such as Copelhell festival in Denmark, Into the Grave festival in The Netherlands and some opening slots for ARCH ENEMY in NL and France.
Early 2024, HALIPHRON found their new, steady band member drummer in PAUL BELTMAN.
